You got a problem with Kyle Busch? He doesn't care

There are two questions I'm most frequently asked when people find out I cover auto racing for a living.

The first is, what do drivers do when nature calls during a race?

Since big time auto racing pit stops are intended to service only the car, I'll leave you to figure out the rather unsanitary answer to that one.

The second is, who gets booed the loudest in pre-race driver introductions?

If he didn't have that one sewed up before last Saturday night Richmond, the hands-down winner there now is Kyle Busch.

The younger Busch pretty much took over the most booed lead from his brother, Kurt, about a year ago. And Shrub's aggressive driving style and his being never at a loss for words add up to Kyle taking over the role as NASCAR's chief villain among most fans today.

After his controversial tangle with Dale Earnhardt Jr. in Richmond, Busch was at his sarcastic best.

"The fans were going crazy, and you see it, but you don't pay attention to it," Busch said. "I don't know why they were telling me I was No. 1, I was in second place. Clint Bowyer got the lead from me -- they were all confused.

"I guess too many old Budweisers," he finished, referring to Junior's former long-time sponsor.

The Saturday night incident came on the heels of Friday night's Nationwide Series tangle with Steven Wallace, son of former Cup champion Rusty.

After the two made contact on the track in the closing laps, things spilled over to pit road. Busch went over to Wallace's car, and when he stuck his head in the side window, he was grabbed by the helmet, igniting more hard feelings and a war of words.

"I basically told him that you mess with the bull, you're going to get the horns, then he wanted to grab my helmet, which is pretty childish again," said Busch, who added he would "wreck as many cars as necessary to win a race."

His tirade continued as he took aim at the entire Wallace family.

Well, we could get into the whole "Whats up with Kyle Busch's head?  His forehead is big enough for a billboard", or "Is that Kyle Busch or a walleye?"....but we all know he looks like his mom and dad were brother and sister, and it is too easy anyway.

As for his little stunt Saturday night, he will pay in the long run.  Junior has many many more friend ...(more)

Kyle Busch said the following in an interview the other day: "I will wreck as many cars as possible to get a win".  So now we know why he drives the way he does. I think that since he decided to open his big mouth and let everyone know that he plans to employ a "win at all costs" strategy that his fellow drivers should reciprocate. I say they form a coalition to teach that ...(more)

I'm sure NASCAR drivers are scared to mess with all 6'1" 160lb kyle busch..

.Hard to believe that Kyle could call anyone "childish".  He's by far the biggest crybaby in NASCAR. After the Nationwide reace he's threatening Mike Wallace for racing him rough then after the Sprint race he's says

ok, there is a difference between being sarcastic, and then just being a prick. Kyle Busch may have become public enemy #1 for wrecking Jr. (and from what i saw he wasn't racing hard, just dumb, but thats for another article), but I was more disgusted at his comments about both Steven and Rusty Wallace. First off, Kyle cryed about somethin he did the very next night, and good for wallace not bac ...(more)

I get the idea of hard racing and I love it. I am a huge Dale Jr. fan and I am o.k. with what happend at richmond, because like both drivers said it was just racing and that is exactly what it appeared to be. How he caught Jr. was what shouldn't have happened, but what I am confused about was his comment about wrecking as many cars as it took to win?  I really think I might have misunderstood ...(more)

NASCAR used to have a driver who did not care how popular and established you were in redneck royalty when he got on the track, if you were in front of him you were in the way. Just ask DW, Geoff Bodine, or even the king. Now there is another who has the same attitude and NASCAR loves the attention and I love the competition. Kyle did not try to wreck Dale and both drivers know that to be ...(more)

The dust ups we've seen lately are just a sign that old school racing is back...and thank goodness. NASCAR needed a villian and I'm glad it's Kyle...because I personally love to hate him!!!  His brother just wasn't up to the task as villian even though he tried very hard. Racing is a sport that runs on emotion at times and thats what makes it great. I'm glad not all the drivers have class and ...(more)

hedrick was smart enough tio get rid of him, i am surprised that a classy guy like joe gibbs would put up with this punk kid, if nascar is overlooking him then when he hurts somebody then they will suffer the consequences, i like good hard racing, but when you say you will wreck anybody to win, well thats not what i want to see, no matter who the driver is
