The worst home mark in MLB? That would belong to the Halos, a disappointing 4-12 at the Big A after a thumping 10-4 loss last night administered by the high-flying Royals. Not sure the Angels fare any better tonight as they again have to hold their breath regarding starter Griffin Canning, whose erratic form on the mound has led to a 6.69 ERA. Meanwhile, Alec Marsh back on the mound for surprising KC after a brief stint on the injured list, all after posting a solid 2.70 ERA and 1.01 WHIP in five earlier starts. Play Royals on Run Line

KC's lineup gives me some concern and I think they are going to have to add a bat to supplement Sal, Witt and The Pasquatch, but they scrap and claw and find ways to win games. They backed tonight's starter well before he got hurt and I like their splits against the Halo's starter. Angels in a bit of a freefall and the lineup has lots of holes. Not much to like in the LA bullpen, either.

I'm playing the Royals again on Friday at (-108) as my sims have them winning 56 percent of the time with Alec Marsh vs. Griffin Canning, which implies a moneyline of -127. Canning has struggled with his fastball, and the Royals don't strikeout much vs. RHP (2nd fewest in MLB at just 17.9%).
