A very low total is offered today between the Cubs and Padres. Both pitchers have exceptional ERA’s in Dylan Cease whose road ERA is 1.75. For the Cubs Hayden Wesneski is coming off a six inning gem against the Brewers without allowing a run. When Wesneski entered this territory of innings pitched last year, he struggled to perform. After a full week off the Oklahoma City Thunder’s offense may have issues against an improved Dallas Mavericks defense. One player that I do not expect to suffer is Jalen Williams. He has an arsenal of moves that are going to give this Mavericks team problems game to game. He quietly averaged 21 in their last series against the Pelicans, and I expect that to be boosted in round two. Take his game one over.

Throughout the Celtics postseason runs over the years, Al Horford has been one of my top postseason prop players. Four to 5 games in the postseason I’ll attack, and here in game one figures to be a good spot. You have the Cleveland Cavaliers off a quick turn around from their game seven Sunday win. Their defense may be a step slow on the non main option Celtics players. Horford also needs to relish his old role postseason role with Porzingis hurt. Take his over.

Tuesday, the Guardians will aim to take game two over the Detroit Tigers after yesterday 2-1 victory. On the mound, Logan Allen will see a divisional opponent for just the second time this season. Look for Allen to minimize the Tigers lineup from a big inning of scoring, and for the Guardians to secure their fourth straight win. Take the Guardians.

Denver is going to have their difficulties against the Minnesota Timberwolves, but game two I believe goes there way convincingly. For as mediocre as Denver played in game one, they still had the lead for stages and had a chance to win late. Expect Denver to have better team balance and get more shots for Aaron Gordon, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and their star guard Jamal Murray. Play the Nuggets on the spread.

Expect Myles Turner to be a key for the Pacers in game one right off the bat. In the final two games of their prior series against the Bucks he scored just thirteen and five points. Indiana needs Turner’s offense and was a catalyst in the regular season in two wins over the Knicks. One performance he scored 28 and the other he had his only flawless game from the field, going 9 for 9. Take his over

This spread in game one is a bit high in my opinion. We have the Knicks coming off a physical series against Philadelphia, to now facing a team that plays with tempo in Indiana. Indiana has the better overall depth that could test the Knicks, and they won two of the three regular season matchups. The lone loss was by just four points. Take the Pacers on a generous second round spread.

Today should be a solid Sunday night baseball game, with opportunities to be had in the prop market. Taiquan Walker in his season debut last week gave up eight hits, including several off his sinker pitch. Chapman has had a cool bat in terms of power but did have a mid to late April stretch where he doubled in five of seven games. He ends his ten game streak without a double or home run today against the Phillies.

The price continues to rapidly rise on the Atlanta Braves today against the Dodgers. I do not expect Max Fried to continue to be flawless as he has his last two starts against the Marlins and Mariners. Atlanta’s success more so today will come against Dodgers pitcher James Paxton who is struggling with walks. Sixteen total walks over his last three starts, and surrendered four runs in his last outing to the Dbacks. Take the Braves

The Chicago Cubs nearly blew a 5-0 lead yesterday, but their bullpen was able to hold for a close 6-5 win. A positive to yesterday is that both Patrick Wisdom and Nico Hoerner hit their first home runs of the season. The market has over priced this on the Brewers side with the fact that Milwaukee has won all six of Freddy Peralta’s start this season, and have an MLB best 13-5 road record. A noticeable trait in the regular season were the difficulties the Denver Nuggets had with the size of the Minnesota Timberwolves. That may be on display in game one, and give an opportunity for Kentavious Caldwell Pope to benefit off the Timberwolves aggressive defense. Additionally, each of Caldwell Pope’s last four Western Conference postseason series he has started game one off with double digit points. Take his over combination prop.

In yesterday’s 6-0 victory, the LA Angels saw several pitches that Tanner Bibee could not locate. Today, should be a different story as the Angels lineup has holes due to multiple key injuries. Additionally, Cleveland after having a strong month of April, is struggling in a new month. They have scored just two runs over their last eighteen innings, and lost four of five. Take the under.

Daniel Gafford’s impact in the first round has not been to the level many expected. His minutes per game average is down nearly eight minutes less from the regular season. Yet, he has cleared this points prop in two of the last three games. He was also the team leader in free throw attempts in game five. Take his over in game six.

The New York Knicks should be resting after letting game five slip away multiple times. As great as Tyrese Maxey was, the Knicks have to feel comfortable with how well they’ve kept the 76ers in check the majority of the series. Expect Jalen Brunson to defer the ball a bit more, and give his teammates the open shots that are there. Take the Knicks plus the points in game six.
